Gunung-An was designed and created as a space to reconnect with nature and self. Set in the heart of a Balinese village much of the inspiration for her design and build stems from the Balinese village life and the strength of the Balinese woman.

It is our intent here and now, to hold space for you to come home to self and honor the sacred Yin within. To start to listen and connect with the inner guidance within.

Gunung-An means Mountain of Peace translated from Bahasa Indonesia; an An’ the Chinese symbol for peace.

The “gunungan“ is also a very important stage prop in the art of “wayang”/ancient puppetry the. It represents the Universe of characters and clans in ancient puppet storytelling (wayang).

Here in our Gunungan the Chinese character for Peace (represented by a woman sheltered by a roof) takes center stage in our “Gunungan”. Sitting perfectly balanced in connection with Mother Earth and God, .protected by two Balinese Lions / Barongs
